Not all of the poems were great.

But, I wasn’t going for great. I was going for volume. I was trying to get my chops after being inconsistent as a writer for a while. I was trying to write enough to where I could finally write a couple of poems I thought were me, my style.

And it worked.

I wrote a few poems I really cared about. And that is what this book consists of—a collection of poems that I connected with through the process of writing every day for a few months and that I hope you connect with also.

I had to lose 800 poems to find the 100 that are in the book.

How would I describe the book?

3. A millennial male’s attempt at communicating emotions through a collection of sentences pondering the existence of home and belonging
